Notice of the State Council on Holidays for the Commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of China’s Victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World’s Victory over Fascism

The people's governments of all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government; all ministries and commissions of the State Council; and all institutions directly under the State Council:

2015 is the 70th anniversary of China’s victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the world’s victory over fascism. 1 day of national holidays is granted on September 3rd, 2015 in order for the people of the whole nation to be able to participate in the commemoration activities organized by all the authorities of national or regional level. In order to facilitate the public production and living conditions during holidays, the following adjustment of days off is hereby made: Days off in total, from 3/9 to 5/9. September 3rd (Thursday) is national holiday, September 4th (Friday) is day off due to the adjustment of the weekend, and September 6th (Sunday) is work day.

During the holidays, every district and every department needs to take care of staff to be on duty and take measures appropriately for safety and security, etc, and ifserious sudden events occur, they should reported them in time and manage them appropriately in order to secure that the commemoration activities will be conducted smoothly.
